So I think this is about as much as I want to work on this piece. Not saying this isn't a lot, but I think my next project will be more meaningful to me. So here it is!! My first ever really serious all digital picture!!
I don't know if I like using the gaussian blur with the soft light. It really doesn't show all the work I did. But I think I like it better over all. Maybe.
Still dedicated to for inspiration I hope they like it!
And because I'm exceedingly new at this please critique. And not "OMGWTF I don't like EGL." (if this even qualifies as proper EGL...) but helpful things with the shading and color choice and MAKING MY LINES NICE. Please? Thanks.
If you'd like critique I'd say I like the dress/coresty section very much. The folds work well. However, on the right arm (left side of the page) the shirt wrinkles make the material look like its made of something strange. I'd have made them crisper. Proportions are good

the shading/coloring really is lovely. I think its safe to say that using any of the filters is going to potentially take away from your piece unless you can barely tell that it is there. Like with yours, if you -did- use the gaussian blur, I can't really differentiate it from just using a brush with "fuzzy edges" atm. I guess I'm talking more about the light/effect filters, but anyways, pretty much none of them have never been part of my routine.
I agree with the comment above too, that her sleeve looks a bit uh, wavy, or something hehe, but its really a minor thing imo and I think the lines are gorgeous. And all those little highlights, like on her lips, her curls, the little bows on her stockings. ^^ Did you do pencilwork and then scan it in, or did you do the whole thing on the comp? ((as for making your lines nice, like you said above... if you're scanning, make the resolution like 600/650 dpi. well, even if you're drawing it onto the screen. That way you can clean them up, but it doesn't have to be -perfect-, and when you lower the resolution down to like four hundred, those tiny imperfections go away anyways!))

Wow! Thanks for taking such time on your comments, its so nice!
Yes, I did use the blur thing but at a very low level. I agree about it taking away from the art itself. But I wanted to try something new and different so it worked out well. The sleeves... well thats just me being an idiot. But it helps to know what to work on in the future. Maybe find some photos of clothes wrinkles the next time I attempt a shirt like that.
I did this completely on the comp, nothing was scanned, no pencilwork or anything. Thanks for the heads up on scanned art, though, because thats what I usually do.
Anyway, thank you thank you! I really appreciate the long comments. I will strive to make more long comments for other people in the future!!
folds in clothing are evil. @-@ hehe, honestly that sleeve thing is hardly being an "idiot". and np, I'm glad it came across as helpful and not preachy hehe

This is so cute! I love your coloring on it, the shading is lovely and nice color choices. ^_^ Also, the lips look amazing! And for the eyes and face and hair.

Also, she needs to beware of posing making her lose her patients' meds. ^_^; It seems dangerous.
*laughs* She should get her own tv series, then. I would watch it. She's the most dangerous nurse ever and doesn't like the patients, but looks so awesome she keeps the job anyway... You could have fun storylines each week.

Thanks for the wonderful comment!!
And she seems the type to have gotten the job just for the uniform. Do you think she really cares about the patients?
